Supporting Supporters: A Safe Haven for Those Who Hold So Much

Supporting Supporters: A Safe Haven for Those Who Hold So Much

Published at 7/23/2025

You show up for others. You listen, hold space, absorb pain, offer hope.
You do it with heart, skill, and grace.
But… who holds you?

If you're a psychotherapist, coach, doctor, social worker, facilitator, bodyworker, educator, caregiver - or any soul working in the helping professions - you likely know the silent weight of compassion fatigue, emotional labor, and invisible over-functioning.

That’s why this space exists. Not as another training, but as a living circle - where you don’t have to be the expert. Where you can breathe, unravel a little, and simply be human.

🌀 Why We Need to Be Held, Too

Helping professionals are at high risk of burnout, compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and spiritual exhaustion. You might notice:

  • Emotional numbing or hypersensitivity
  • Trouble switching off or relaxing
  • Guilt about needing support
  • Isolation despite being surrounded by people
  • Chronic fatigue masked as high-functioning
  • Losing touch with your passion and purpose

In a world that often expects helpers to keep giving endlessly, we’re here to interrupt that pattern - gently, powerfully, and together.

🌱 What “Supporting Supporters” Is All About

This is more than a supervision group. It’s a nourishing space for emotional, relational, somatic, and professional restoration.

In our circle, we:

  • Rest - together, without guilt
  • Laugh - together, even when it’s messy
  • Cry - together, when words aren't enough
  • Exchange - tools, insights, stories, warmth
  • Recharge - with embodied practices and shared humanity
  • Explore - where you are in your own healing and becoming
  • Grow - not by pushing, but by allowing

This space blends professional support and soulful connection. It welcomes the paradox of being wise and tired, competent and confused, strong and tender.

🔧 What You’ll Experience

Each session includes:

Grounding somatic practices to reset your nervous system
Reflections on your current professional and personal challenges
Peer-to-peer resonance - a reminder that you’re not alone
Creative rituals for release and recharging
Playful elements (yes, play matters!)
Concrete tools for ongoing self-care, boundaries, and balance
Emotional permission to just be who you are today

No pressure. No performance. Just presence, curiosity, and care.

🌍 Who Is This For?

This circle is for anyone in a supporting role, including:

  • Therapists, psychologists, and counselors
  • Coaches, trainers, and educators
  • Doctors, nurses, and wellness practitioners
  • Volunteers, social workers, and trauma responders
  • Bodyworkers, yoga teachers, energy healers
  • Group facilitators, spiritual guides, and space holders

Whether you’ve been in the field for 20 years or 2 months, if your inner well needs tending, this space is for you.

A Note from Me

As someone who’s walked the tightrope of burnout and rediscovery, I created this space as a gift to the givers. A place where love, consciousness, and laughter can co-exist with science, skill, and soul care.

Let’s build the kind of community we often try to create for others - for ourselves.
